Point of sale

Most Irish micro-traders already take payment in person on SumUp or Square. The site connects to that existing till — "order ahead", "pay now" — rather than rebuilding the checkout. Every button is a link out to the provider, so there's no new system to reconcile and no card data on the site.

01 · Order ahead Phase 3

For a café / food truck — send hungry visitors straight to the Square Online store or SumUp shop, paid before they arrive.

Checkout is hosted by the provider. Prices shown in EUR inclusive of VAT.

02 · Pay a balance Phase 3

For Niamh (Gloss Nail Studio) — she takes the deposit online (Phase 1) and the balance in person on SumUp. The site sends clients to the right place without duplicating her till.

€30.00 balance · incl. VAT

Outstanding after your €15 deposit. Pay now on SumUp, or in the studio on the day.

Why deep links, not a rebuilt checkout

Connect, don't duplicate

Rebuilding the till would mean a second inventory, a second set of payouts, and a second reconciliation every evening — exactly what a busy owner doesn't want. Deep-linking to Square/SumUp keeps one source of truth, inherits the provider's PCI compliance, and works the day it ships.

  • Provider-hosted checkout — card data never touches the site; PCI scope stays with Square/SumUp.
  • Order-ahead uses the provider's online store; pay-a-balance uses a payment link.
  • Consent: these are plain outbound links (no embedded script), so they need no cookie banner. An embedded store widget would move behind the Phase 1 consent gate.
